Since 2011, the Shirpur Campus of SVKM's NMIMS has proudly celebrated Library Week at the Mukesh Patel Central Library. Continuing this tradition, we are pleased to announce the "Library Week" celebration, scheduled from 5th to 11th August 2025, and Librarian's Day on August 12th, 2025. Librarian's Day is observed in honor of Padmashri Dr. S.R. Ranganathan, whose birth anniversary is August 12th. Dr. Ranganathan is widely recognized as the "Father of Library and Information Science in India." As part of the celebration, the Best Library User Awards 2025 will be presented to outstanding student users of the library.

NMIMS Library Week (August 5–9, 2025) is a special occasion to recognize and celebrate the vital role our libraries and dedicated library staff play in the NMIMS community. It’s also a time to encourage greater use and support of library services. NMIMS libraries provide inclusive access to knowledge and resources—from free books and digital tools for families to support centers that foster research, innovation, and skill development.
